Sea front walk and summer house

I haven’t had a walk of any distance for a while as the knee has been twinging. It wasn’t great today but thought I would try and get to the sea front today. It was a slow walk but got there and walked along the front for a bit, had a rest on a bench and made my way home. Took a few photos so will let the ones I post speak for themselves.

I read about that new rubbish bin in the local paper, certainly different.
When I got back to out garden I took a photo of the ‘fox and cubs’ flowers. I am surprised they are in focus as it was very windy!
This afternoon I decided to spend some time in the summer house, I took a puzzle book, my camera and some watercolour pencils. Didn’t look in the packet before I went down, quite a lurid selection of colours but did a sketch anyway.
There were some young birds around so managed some pictures.

Blue was in the summer house with me, she curled up on the other chair. When I went indoors to make a drink she had moved to my chair! So I sat in the other one and opened the window which Pandora came to check out once she had come down from the tree!
We have had dinner and I am not planning to do much this evening. No watering required as we had a brief thunder storm earlier.

  1. Quite a varied day for you today then. Glad you made it to the front. I know how the knee is curtailing your walks, so it was good to get there. Some lovely pics to, so well worth going. I quite like to see it like that as well as on bright sunny days. Looks quite deserted, so nice that you get it almost to yourself. The fish bin is quite unusual. I wonder if it’ll encourage people to use it more rather than throwing rubbish on the floor. Knowing people, I doubt it.
Good to spend a bit of time out in the summerhouse. It’s good that it gets used, and it’s a good view onto the garden. Your drawing looks nice and I bet it didn’t take you very long to do it either. Pity the birds don’t sit still long enough to pose 😊 I like the third bird photo. Very cute.
    Hope your evening stays quiet.

  2. It has been a varied day and it was quiet at the front this morning, I am hopeful that the waste basket will prove a success.
I haven’t sat in the summer house so much recently, but enjoyed my spell out there this afternoon.
