Although it was damp and quite cold this morning I taped my knees again and headed off to the sea. I went down onto the beach to get photos from a different aspect, as it isn’t the move inspiring sea view!
I had walked a slightly different route so passed the start of the trans pennine trail, will have to walk along there again when the weather cheers up again.
Took some damp shots as ai walked through the memorial garden.
This afternoon I took another poppy, this time in the front garden.
This morning I stained a cheap little box that I bought at The Works and after dinner I attached the piece of embroidery I did earlier in the week. The fabric glue is ancient but was still useable!
Hopefully will get another walk in tomorrow.
Just remembered that I had a delivery of 150 suet fat balls for the birds, got them down to the greenhouse in stages as the box was very heavy! The birds are getting through them at a rate of knots at the moment!
The second pic of the sky is lovely. What a great colour. Shame you broke a gecko though. Hope you managed to glue it back together.
ReplyDeleteI quite like all the pics you took on your walk this morning. Everything being wet adds to the pics. My favourite is the poppy plaque in the memorial garden. All in all a damp and gloomy day, but you managed to make something of it by getting out and about for a while.
The box was an ideal size for your bit of freehand embroidery. Looks nice. What’s going in that?
The birds in your garden are totally spoiled! They ear very well. No wonder they keep coming back for more!
A damp walk makes a change, I love that plaque in the memorial garden and the water just adds to it I think.
ReplyDeleteThe sky was an amazing colour last night, glad I got a reasonable photo of it.
Pleased with the little box, not sure whether I will keep it or give it to somebody.
