I caught the bus into Hull this morning, wanted to collect my train tickets for next week and buy a birthday present. I also bought a shampoo bar, like a bar of soap, as the ladies were talking about them when we were away last week. Will give it a try as the less plastic bottles we use the better. On the station I saw two garden ornaments that were the offer of the week. Tina and I love the crows and they had to be had!
That was a silly selfie but I have placed them by the summer house!
I sat in the summer house for a bit, Charlie decided to sit on guard outside for a while so not too many birds. When he came in to join me I managed this almost in focus shot of a great tit!
This evening I fixed the embroidery down onto the panels, had to glue the panels first and let it dry and then iron the embroidery on! Then I assembled the panels. Will be able to finish it when the backing that Tina ordered me arrives,
Will have to see what I can make next now!
I really like those note. So much better than our boring ones. The tenner could have been made specially for you 😊
ReplyDeleteThe crows are great. Well worth getting, even if you did have to lug them home on the bus from Hull! They look perfect on guard duty outside the summer house. You do spot some unusual things when you’re out and about.
I really love the screen. It’s definitely a lot of fiddly work doing that embroidery, but it’s going to look brilliant when it’s finished. Onward to the next project then.
I was delighted when I got the note with the otters, the fish one is really good too. A great souvenir.
ReplyDeleteWe. Have crows come to the garden every day and Tina and I both love to see them. Birds with real attitude! So I really couldn’t resist the offer of the month at the stall on the station.
I have enjoyed getting on with the screen now that my hands are a bit better.
