Last night I battled on with the Tudor dress I was trying to make. After I had started I read the instructions and it was designed to be sewn and stuck onto a doll of your choice. I just wanted the dress and to say it was a challenge would be pretty accurate. I also think it is a little big although is supposed to be 1/12th scale. A picture of it on its own and placed in the dolls house like the headless ghost!
This afternoon I decided I would dig part of the area near the summer house that I had strimmed last night.
Heavier work than I have done since my hands went numb and painful, but I did a couple of sessions wearing my wrist supports and appeared to. Have managed okay so far. Probably how my hands and wrists are in the night will be the real judge.
During my break, to my delight I saw scruffy blue tit again and soon r aliases that she was feeding babies!
So cute, a few more pics I am afraid, I was entranced!
Got on quite well with the patch of garden before it was time to get dinner and rain stopped play!
Maybe I will get out for a bit tomorrow.
The poppies looks great. They make wonderful photographic material too. I really like to see the fields of red poppies, specially against a nice blue sky. Those look really good up against the white wall. I bet it looks nice from the road.
ReplyDeleteThe dress you made doesn’t look as big as I thought it would now it’s in the house. In fact it looks about the right scale to me. It would have touched the floor when worn, so compared to the height of the banister rail I’d say it wasn’t far off.
You do get distracted with those birds when you’re out there gardening, but than can only be a good thing. It’s looking good out there. Slowly slowly catchy monkey as they say....very slowly slowly 😊
Another bit of garden almost prepared, as you say, slow progress but getting there.
ReplyDeleteVery distracted today, just loved seeing the tit family.
The dress does look okay in the house, looks pretty good from a distance!
