Mostly a squirrel visitor!

This morning I spent most of it moving my numerous ornaments in the sitting room and polished all the woodwork, that was after I had been down to get the weekend shopping.
I did start tryouts no to cut the ply wood with my new knife but found it a strain on my wrist and Darren finished off cutting the pieces for a blanket box for the dolls house.
Then I went out into the summer house for a while. Lots of squirrel activity today, two of them for a while.

A couple of close ups.

A couple of bird pics.

Then the squirrel was on the ground, luckily I had made sure the cats were indoors.

One more of him/her on the ground and one if it’s tail!

A cute picture of a sparrow.

And one of our little mystery friend.
One more of my squirrel friend.
The courgette plants have taken off now and there are even little yellow courgettes appearing!

After dinner I went to see Sarah and David for a while as they are going away for a few days next week.

  1. That’s the only trouble with having lots of ornaments. Moving them to polish! You either need to be minimal, which wouldn’t suit you at all, or just don’t dust. Quentin Crisp never dusted and said once it got to a certain thickness it never got any worse!
I saw a solitary squirrel running along the fence in garden today. For all of ten seconds ☹️ It’s really cheery to be able to look at your pics of them. They’re so close and intimate, they’re absolutely great. I’d never get fed up of them. I think the pics of the sparrow and the mystery bird amongst the plants look fantastic. Looks like they could be from one of the wildlife programs shooting in the undergrowth of a wood somewhere! Bet your album is getting full by now.
Chickeny, courgettey, soupy meals soon by the looks of it 😊

  2. I don’t tire of taking the photos either, usually manage to get a couple that are different.
The different lights do make a difference, and the monopod has been a real boon.
I will put the two birds in the grass pictures in the to print folder!
