This morning I did some household chores and then caught the bus up to Freeport. I took the trolley as my main reason for going was to get some cat food but I did call in to the craft outlet to say hello and met the new member of staff who seemed very friendly and a perfect fit for the job. I walked home as I wanted to call in the picture framing shop. I wanted to see if he would sell me some narrow edging to use in my dolls house furniture making. He really couldn’t have been more helpful and even gave me a few shorter pieces for n extra two pound. I bought half metres for now.
I went down to the shop when I got home and then went out into the summer house for a while. Quite a lot of pictures again, so if you are fed up with bird shots stop now! A fairly young sparrow on the distant tree, they don’t often come to the tree close to the summer house.
In the flower bed in front of me this very young bird appeared, think it is also a sparrow because of the beak.
One of the sparrows did come to get some pickings under the nearer feeders.
The squirrel arrived, it sure does get through the fat balls!
They were fun pictures as the bird is in shot.
I am not sure what this baby bird is, thought it may be a robin but wouldn’t bet on it!
This one is a young chaffinch.
The robins were about a lot today, I have just picked three shots.
Finally the newest feeder is a great attraction to the tits!
The first pic doesn’t look real. Looks more like a painting than a pic. Nice though.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you didn’t spend the whole day doing household chores. A little trip out, even if it was for shopping is always nice. A very good bit of thinking with the framing shop too. The edging you have will make some great beading on the furniture for the dolls house. I’m looking forward to seeing how you put them to use.
Another good selection of pics again. There’s never too many, so don’t worry about that. I enjoy looking at them. I’ve no clue if the bird in the pic after the squirrels is a robin, but whatever it is it’s pretty. I like the one of it looking at you through the plants/weeds too 😊So many to choose from to get printed, but at least you know a man who can frame them now.
It made a change to pop in at Freeport as I haven’t been up there for quite a while now, and so worth walking back to call in the framing shop.
ReplyDeleteThat young bird looks the right shape for a robin but it is a very distinctive feather pattern, not to worry, it was cute!
