The gentlemen were catching the ferry as Lyness naval cemetery is there and they were going to lay wreaths.
A stunning drive along winding single track roads, well done Andrea and we got to Rackwick, a very isolated crofting township considered to be one of the most beautiful destinations.
We did venture to see the sea although we were on a tight time schedule and didn’t want to miss stopping at the tea house before going back!

Then a stop at Emily’s Tea Room before heading back to the ferry.
Everything I’ve seen of the place makes me want to go there. It’s cracking.
ReplyDeleteYou really have had a busy few days, trains, boats, planes, cars and walking! But if the pics are anything to go by it was all worth it. Shame you didn’t get to see the Old Man, but it’s something to look forward to next time.
I want to live in Rackwick now and I definitely want to go to the tea room. The cakes look delicious and seem to be being enjoyed by everyone.
It was a busy three days, we managed to do a lot, will take us a week to r cover!
