Trying morning but happy snapping!

I decided to open a holiday saving account starting it off with some of yesterday’s takings, so I set off into Hull on the bus armed with ID and good intentions! Tried two different building societies, both too busy for me to be seen, so thought I would try my bank. After being interviewed by a less than confident lady I was called over to an open desk. The lad wasn’t overly helpful and then I found out that you cannot pay was in cash over the counter anymore. I used the machine that takes coins  and notes, thought it had added it up wrong and cancelled it so everything was spewed back to me! I did do it again after fighting to get the coins out, very low and very deep area they drop into. My temperature and probably my blood pressure wa soaring by then so just went and caught the next bus home.
The day as about to go downhill.....
As I got to our drive I saw two guys who are resident at the local home for people with emotional difficulties for want of a better description. They wanted to talk to Tina as one of them was highly aggitated. The other one said I would I talk to him and was sat on the bench outside with the two of them, plenty of swearing (not by me) and quite aggressive attitude for a while. They then departed with the stressed one f***ing along the street at no one in particular.
So I came in and had no attention af answering the door for the rest of the day. Didn’t have to worry on that score as they didn’t catch me back. Had some lunch and then went into the summer house for a while. Serenity at last!
Sparrow and tit.

Cheeky great tit.

Hello again Scruffy.
And lovely to see you with your babies!

To finish today the first flower on a shrub I took a cutting from a friend last year, it will get better and spikier and one of how funky it looks when it is opening.

  1. Definitely one of those day you don’t want too many of! What is the point of banks that don’t accept money over the counter? It’s a bit like a grocery shop that doesn’t sell food! The world gets a dafter and darker place by the day! Being greeted by the two “gentlemen” on your return was a great way to top it off. I’m sure you were more than ready for a strong cuppa after all that.
At least a while in the garden with the wildlife was a bit more relaxing. Scruffy is a very distinctive bird and very easy to spot. You’ve certainly made it easier for her to bring up her offspring this year. Bet she’ll be back again next year.
That really is a funky flower. Looks really good open or closed. Isn’t nature wonderful.

  2. I had admired the flowers last year, the shrub gets very big and she said I was more than welcome to dig a bit up. I have it taken in a couple of places on the garden, front and back, so am really pleased with that.
Scruffy is easy to pick out, bit mean to call her Scruffy really bit it seems to fit. I wonder is she is old.
