Beautiful rose and more birds!

Tina went to a meeting last night and was given the most beautiful rose that has a wonderful scent as well. I bought this vase a few years ago and have never had a flower in it before, they go well together.
This morning we were expecting deliveries, and despite the sign so many people seem to have trouble finding the right house! So I spent an hour weeding the front bed and planting up a few perennials. No photos but I felt like I had made real progress.
This afternoon I spent some time in the summer house again, more tit pictures but I promise you not as many as I actually took!

Hello Mr Blackbird.
I did a very quick sketch while I was out there today, I just took some water colour felt tips,so watered them down as the colours were so vivid. So only a hint of colour, and as I said done very quickly.
The very exciting, and challenging bit of bird watching today was the robin, a ground feeder, attempting to use the feeders. He was flitting so quickly so not the best but he was definitely going for it.

Made my day, and to catch the moment albeit not that well, was a bonus.

  1. That really is a smashing rose.
You really are getting some great pic these days. I always look forward to seeing them. My favourite tonight is the last one I think. Shame the squirrel didn’t make an appearance.
You even found time for a bit of drawing in between photography and gardening! If I do one task I’m pleased with myself 😊

  2. Such a joy to be able to sit and watch the birds and squirrels, that summer house has been the best thing ever!
The robing obviously wasn’t a natural using the feeders, but good for him for working it out!
