Prepping veg and then bird watching for a change!

This morning I went along to the HURC hall to help prepare the vegetables for the monthly lunch laid on by the Living Well project.
On the way home I got some more suet logs for the birds, or more accurately for the squirrels and starlings, and something for lunch as Tina was due back from her retreat break today.
This afternoon I did go out into the summer house again, armed with my camera as usual. I am having to charge the battery every day now!
Quite pleased with today’s selection, firstly some searching for crumbs int he grass shots.

Another mottled one there but think that is a juvenile blackbird. A couple of close ups, love the blue tit one.

Some sparrows that are coming nearer the summer house now.

The some on the flower bed. A young chaffinch, adult chaffinch and ?baby robin!

Somehow I have been booked in to give an informal demonstration/talk at one of the Living Well sessions on indoor gardening. Not quite sure how that happened but today a got a second hand book and some pots at the charity shop. Thought I would get people joining in.

Any tips and ideas gratefully received!

  1. You should have shares in a suet log factory! You certain get through s few, we’ll more than a few actually, these days.
That’s a really good batch of pics. You’ve really got the knack of capturing them, and you’re so lucky to get such a variety of birds that visit the garden. All I’ve seen in mine lately are a few pigeons! I really do think the one we think is a baby robin is so pretty even though it’s not very colourful, yet. Can’t say I’m surprised you have to charge the battery every night 😊
The indoor gardening lecture sounds fun! The best tip I can give you is to be somewhere else that day 😊 Rather you than me.
