Gardening, wildlife and sky.

Darren and I went along to the boot sale this morning, it has been a nice day mostly but the field was pretty squelchy! Not much bargain hunting today but we enjoyed browsing and I got stocked up with goodies from the nutty man.
I decided that I needed to make a start on clearing the ar a behind the fruit bushes.
There is a large thistle in the middle of that mass of weeds and brambles, I worked for about an hour and removed an amazing amount of unwanted plants!

Sat in the summer house for a while then, one little tit visited to get the photo taking started!
A squirrel arrived and was as entertaining as ever.

Took these tiny flies on the 40% zoom. I was surprised how clear they were.

Two blue tits were on the feeders near each other.

After dinner I took a walk down to the sea. These flowers were in the memorial garden.
A nice sky over the sea then a leisurely stroll home.

  1. A great set of pics today. That’s a lot of weed from a smallish area! I think an hour is enough for anyone. The wildlife pics get better every day. The tit is a really nice pic. Very clear. The squirrel pics never get boring either. Such cute things. Although I doubt everyone agrees with that. And now you’re into insects too. There’s no stopping you. Super duper tripod next I think to go with the monopod. I like the last two pics too. The sea and sky shots always look good, and the memorial garden is really bright and colourful.
Quite a mixed day for you again, but it certainly looks as though you’ve made the most of it. You’ve certainly done way more than I have 😊

  2. I like it if I manage to get a bit of variety into the blog, not always easy but it gives a bit more interest if the content is different.
There really was a mass of rubbish in that bed and it isn’t clear yet!
