Good to see some rain!

Not a lot of pictures or news really today, I didn’t sleep well and have felt. Little bit under the weather today. I went to the shop early and then along to the coffee morning in the parish hall. Came back with cake and a couple of prizes off the tombola!
I bought some plants to go in the newly prepared bed yesterday at Countdown and managed to finish the preparation and get them put in before the ran arrives.
Darren took me to the garden centre at Sigglesthorne, I wanted to get some aubretia for the middle of that bed and some small pavers to glue the crows to. One was blown over in the stormy weather last night and the other one looked drunk and ready to go! So I put them inside the summer house until I could make them more secure. It pooped with rain when we were there and we got wet getting tw slabs, different as they were very low in stock. The feet of the crows were not flat so I put loads of glue on and around, not pretty but had hopefully it will work. I love that ‘Beast’ glue!

I sat in the summer house for a while, it was still drizzling so a couple of shots, plenty deleted though as the camera was having trouble focussing.

We have had dinner and I am not planning to do a lot this evening.

  1. I hope feeling under the weather wears off quickly. Nothing worse than feeling like that. At least you managed to get a bit of time in the garden to put the plants in. That bit should look really nice once everything beds in.
Those crows do make me smile each time I see them. I can see just why you had to have them. Doubt they’ll fall over any more once that glue sets. What would we do without kitchen weights? They’re so useful. I used to use them all the time when I was making little bits and pieces.
Hopefully with a bit of feet up time and a bit of telly you’ll feel a bit better.

  2. Will get the crows back out today and hopefully some aubretia into that flower bed.
Bright day today, no sign of rain at the moment.
