Well done Hornsea, some again next year?

Will start with the great news that Hornsea won the ‘Best Dressed Town’ award for the Tour de Yorkshire. Well done everyone, truly putting Hornsea on the map.
Tina was told a about a folly, very close by, that we hadn’t seen or heard of, so I went there before posting letters and shopping this morning.

How much fun is that? Isobel will love it. Spotted another scarecrow while I was out and about.
I came back through the park to see them setting up for carnival weekend.

The fair ground is just behind out garden so it will b a lively weekend!
Mags had a decoupage class at the craft outlet yesterday and I liked the results so got some of the sheets. Today I have made some cards and am really pleased with them. Tina has bagged one already!
Earlier this evening I went to have a look round the fair and the stalls with Darren and Tina. Pretty busy already and sadly there will be plenty of clearing up needed!

A few fair shots to finish for today, may go and see the fireworks later.

  1. A bit of exploring is always good. Love the folly. Great news that Hornsea is a winner! It did all look nice though, and a lot of people put a lot of effort in, so very well deserved.
They are lovely cards. I can see why Tina bagged one straight away. You’ve been quite busy really with exploring and crafting.
Nice to get out for a look around fair. Always a nice thing to do with family, and it looks like you all had a good time.

  2. That folly is literally five minutes walk away! Will get a better picture when the sun isn’t behind it.
Really was chuffed for Hornsea, it is a great little town.
Enjoyed making the cards and wandering round the fair.
