Mere, sea and sea holly

This morning I walked to the doctors to drop off a form for Tina and to make an appointment to see the prescribing pharmacist again. I have been taking my blood pressure regularly and kept a record as he asked. They are a doctor down so are not taking advance appointments at the moment, so they gave me a slot later this morning! So a bit more exercise than I had planned today. The scarecrow trail is this week, some have sadly been vandalised but this one near the doctors was in tact.
I walked home doing a bit of shopping on the way. Had a bit of a rest and collected my blood pressure record then made my way back to the doctors.left plenty of time to relax before seeing him!the outcome was fine, no blood pressure pills and I had lost a couple of kilos.he doesn’t want to see me again but suggested I go and get checked out near my next birthday!
When Tina came in she suggested we go out to lunch at The mere cafe. It was closed today but I took one quick picture.
So we went to the Floral Hall instead, had jacket potatoes that were very tasty and took a quick look at the sea before coming home.

We were home in time to get ready for our meetings. Well, Tina had a meeting, I had the Scrabble group coming here this month. Four ladies arrived and they had a game on my super size set and I scored. Three of them bought some of the snowdrops and they came and had a look at the garden before they went home.
When I was putting the garden bin out I noticed bees loving the sea holly again. I know I put pics yesterday but I like these too!

I promise to ignore them tomorrow!

  1. The scarecrow trail. They do have some odd things up north! Shame things get vandalised though, I’ve never seen what people get out of that.
Worth waiting around for the doctors and getting a good outcome. You are obviously being very good. Lunch out was a good idea, and it’s was like s mini celebration for being good :-) Sounds like you had a pretty good afternoon too. It’s great having the room to be able to host things like that. Plus everyone likes to get invited to the vicarage, sounds posh :-)
Don’t apologise for too many flower and bee shots. They look really nice. It’s hard not to take pics like that. I’ve got hundreds myself.

  2. Not a bad day at all and I have felt less tired which is a bonus. The Scrabble group did go well today, they all seemed to really enjoy it.
Just loved seeing so many bees on the sea holly.
