I need more pictures for the wall like I need a hole in the head, I have plenty of pictures already that haven’t got wall space. But this lovely, well framed, original water colour caught my eye. I did walk away but went back and when it was just £2 it had to come home with me.
I have always loved anything to do with otters, this adorable plate was one pound, it is called ‘Winter orphan’.
Then this rather nice otter ornament was two pounds.
I did buy a new plastic storage unit as wwell ll but it needs assembling, so photo another day.
We came home, cooled off a bit and then I walked up to Freeport as I was booked into a class using teabags! I am not really into mixed media, layering etc, but enjoyed the technique although maybe not one I will use a lot.
It was with Mags who is a lovely instructor and a friendly group of ladies. I walked home as well and have made dinner and watered the gardens.
I was expecting Anya and Isobel tomorrow but they are now arriving later tonight, so that is really good.
A great stash of bargains there. That really is a lovely picture. Think I’d have been tempted to buy it myself, specially for that sort of money. The frame and mount are probably worth more than that anyway!
ReplyDeleteThe plate and the ornament had to be bought too. Those plates can be quite expensive, so a bargain for a pound. Some days you see loads of stuff to buy, others nothing. Not been to a car boot myself for several weeks.
The card is nice, but like you I’m not into all those layers of stuff. Too much going on at once for my liking. They’ve had some great classes at that place though, and I’m sure you’ll be going quite a few times more.
Say hi to the girls from me.
Loads of nice stuff at reasonable prices today, and I walked away from some bits.i have taken something down for now so that the picture is up.
ReplyDeleteWill pass on you hi to the girls.
