Hotel nightmares!

Will start with our second night at the hotel and then put on some pictures from yesterday. We knew there was an event on below our room on Friday night and although it was loud we did manage to get to sleep. We were told that all would be well for Saturday night, but it wasn’t. An even bigger wedding party with much louder music! We tried to settle down but at 11.2O pm Tina suggests we go and sit in the car. That we did and I just went in my pyjamas! We came back to the room just after midnight and it did stop just after we got back. But by then we were wide awake so had a drink b fore we could settle down. We were not impressed, such a shame because everything else about the hotel was really good.
Anyway, back to Saturday, w had a walk in th grounds when Brian was resting, we have a mirror in the walled garden but this one was pretty impressive.
Tina and Hazel enjoying the walk through the trees.
This yarn bombing was attractive.
Back at the hotel we went in the outdoor pool as I said yesterday, very nice setting and there was a well equipped gym in that building behind the pool.
We had a drink in th bar and then walked round th nature rewerve, passing this small pond.
And this larger one.
Finishing the walk by this fabulous tree.
This morning we saw Hazel and Brian again for a bit before making our way home. We were both tired and the weather was bad on and off, so we did have a couple of breaks, but we were home in time to have an evening here.

  1. It does look a really lovely place, and from what you say the breakfasts were good too. So what a shame it was spoiled by the noise. Having to go into the car park isn’t funny at all. You should definitely write a letter to them about it.
That is a large mirror in the garden there, and I like the pathway through the trees. Looks a nice place.
I’m not surprised you were both knackered after being kept awake so late! Bet you were both glad to be home, Tina specially after the long drive. Hopefully you’ll get a better nights sleep tonight.

  2. In many ways it was a good trip, just sorry it wasn’t as relaxing for Tina as I had hoped it would be. I am sure we will both get a better night tonight.
