Home sweet home!

Skip took me to Waitrose this morning where I met Mike for breakfast before starting my journey home. Very hot again today but got my seat okay on the first train and was able to get my bag on the rack. Got onto the second train fine and was sitting near this rather alarming piece of equipment, like something out of the ark on a modern train!

I say modern loosely, it was a pretty rickety journey. Got a message from Tina just after I arrive in Hull. She was having lunch nearby and came and picked me up. We had a light lunch together and then looked in a couple of shops before Tina had to get to her dental appointment. We drove home afterwards and I had a wander round the garden. The next bit I couldn’t make up and you wouldn’t believe me if I did. Then greenhouse has set some challenges and still has a jammed door at present which is how the crow got in the other day. Well, this afternoon the horrible pedigree grey cat that terrorises our cats was at the back of the greenhouse. It freaked when it saw me and went demented, threw itself against one I sow and it exploded the ran straight at another one which pinged out! The upside is if the crow comes in again it will get out!,

A lot of the glass was there but it was over a much larger area, haven’t got it all up yet.

On a different note Brian and Hazel gave me a couple of books yesterday so I have no excuses now.

I have watered the gardens and had some tea. Feeling tired and a bit f d up about the greenhouse, although I can see th funny side as well. With a bit of luck the cat won’t be visiting for a while.
