Another jardiniere!

This morning Darren and I set off for the market and car boot sale. We had our sausage sandwich and cup of tea before going to the car boot area. Charging 30p to go in now, but there were more stalls this time. Last time we went there had been a jardiniere that I really liked, but neither of us had much cash with us. Today the man was there again and so was the said jardiniere. He wanted £12 but sold it to me for £10. Happy with that as I had paid £10 for the large flower pot I got to put on my wooden stand. I had to rearrange things a bit when I got it home, so for now it is over by the tv.
We didn't buy anything else, or in the market for that matter, although we did have a cup of hot chocolate because it was really very cold.
I have felt really tired today, not 100% at all. I sat trying to read my latest book, which I am really enjoying, but kept falling asleep over it. After a while I thought I would make a drink and go into the greenhouse for a bit, check on the seeds and maybe plant a few more. I needed to liven up a bit before getting dinner.
The sweet peas are doing nicely despite the cold outside.
I set a few more seeds and a silly little kids sunflower planter.

I also put the pig jigsaw type flooring pieces down, so quite comfortable under foot in there now.
Of course, Mike and Brian sorted the door of the greenhouse out for me so that it is now sealed, so quite cosy in there once the door is shut.
I tried taking photos of the curtains again to give some sense of the colour, not overly successful, it is hard to get a good picture in that large room and against so much light.

Almost time for Endeavour, will watch Strike on catch up.

  1. Love the jardiniere. Always fancied a nice one like that myself, with a trailing plant in it, but I’m hopeless with plants and clumsy to boot, so would end up breaking it. A bargain price for something that nice.
Sorry you’re not feeling too good today. Nice to be able to potter in the greenhouse for a while though. Gets you into the garden while still being a bit insulated. Glad to hear the door seals are doing the job. Plenty of insulation on the floor helps as well. Nice cosy little den to get away too every now and then.
That’s a better picture of the curtains. I like the se one photo too. The tungsten light makes it look really nice.

  2. I was pretty pleased that the guy was there again and still had the jardiniere. Need to decide on a plant, would consider an artificial one as they are so much better now.
It was good to get out there for a while, do like my little greenhouse and it will be interesting as the seedlings start to appear.
It will be a lot cosier in the dining room in the evenings when we can close the curtains.
