Very windy today, the black bin had gone flying, I stood it up next to a different wall but it went again, so have left it prostrate for now! Looked cold outside, took a picture of the morning sky as I knew I would be waiting for a while for a call from the plumber.
His wife phoned to say that he hadn't put the appointment in the diary and wouldn't be able to come until next week. I explained that we now had no heating and would have mentioned it if he had come when expected. She said that he would come and look at the heating late today or in the morning, but the shower won't be done now until next week. I let Tina know and then got ready to catch the bus to town. I got off near the studio and went in to see Donna and Sandy, They are fine and have started the year refreshed and busy. Walked into town from the studio and got a few cards in the Card Factory and some face cream in Debenhams. There was work going on in the town centre, the fencing was blown over now and again so the guys were going to have a fun day.
When I got home Tina suggested going out to get some lunch as it is pretty cold in the house. We didn't go too far in the somewhat vain hope that the plumber would arrive. We went to the chip place in the middle of north bay. It has a nice restaurant upstairs in the summer and they are now leaving it open so that you can take your take away meal up there. The sea was very rough and massive spray was coming over the sea wall, but every time I had the camera ready  there was no spray! Did get a couple looking at the sea.

Although I didn't get any good pictures of the spectacular spray from upstairs I will post one of the dark and choppy sea from the restaurant.
Haven't done a lot this afternoon. All three cats have joined me as for once, because of the halogen heater, my tv room is the warmest place in the house!

  1. No heating, no shower, cold weather, moody sea..........sounds like heaven up in Scarborough :-) At least you got to sit up there and watch that really rough sea and eat your chips, what more could you ask for?
Could be snowing tomorrow too, so bet you'll have the cats join you again in your nice warm room. Stay wrapped up and don't get cold yourself.

    1. All hopes pinned on the plumber arriving in the morning! I love to see the sea when it is rough and moody.
