This morning I went out with Carol my hairdresser and one of her neighbours. We had a coffee and a look round at a garden centre and then a wander round a small shopping centre in Bridlington, but didn’t go near the sea for any different coastal shots! We went to a new cafe for a sandwich and a drink and then they dropped me off at the town hall for the craft taster session run under the warm spaces initiative. Today it was mini terrariums or felting, both of which I had done before, but nice to meet some other people. I went for the mini terrariums and ended up making tow as they were made quite quickly and several of us made a second as she had catered for more people. She got the glass cups at Ikea.I may try the felting another time as the lady had some cookie cutters shaped like butterflies so that everyone had a recognisable result.
I have done some chores since I got home and wrote a letter and went to put it in the post. Will probably work on the gecko this evening, much take a picture depending on how far I get.
A slower paced day for you today for a change. Shame you didn’t get to the sea in Bridlington, but it’s still nice to get out and about for a while.
ReplyDeleteThe taster sessions sound good fun, and free too. Not many freebies these days so good to find something you enjoy. I think your two mini terrariums look great. Cups were a great idea for them. Actually looks like a frothy coffee 😊
Have fun with the gecko!
Yes, a quieter day, it made a change and the taster session was really good.
ReplyDeleteNot visiting Sarah and David on Monday evenings, going to see them on Tuesday afternoons for now.
