Late trip into Beverley

I did do some gardening today, I did some pruning and cleared the drive for over n hour in the front garden and after lunch did a bit more to the area I started a couple of days ago. Also spent an hour or more going dotty with the gecko!
The angels we saw at St Mary’s are only there now for a couple more days and I really wanted to see them when they were lit up in the evening, so I caught a bus into Beverley so that I could see them as the church was open until six. When I got into Beverley decided to go and have a drink before going to the church as I had a good bit of time before the bus home. Haven’t taken evening photos in Beverley before!

As I walked to the church found another puffin!

So pleased I decided to go, angels and more!

Bused home and have been sitting quietly, may do a bit to the gecko now I have done the blog.

  1. Quite a busy day for you with the gardening and the gecko. I think you’ll be finishing the gecko before the gardening!
Well I have to say your late trip into Beverly paid dividends. You have some really great night photos of the town and the puffins. The camera on that phone copes with nearly every situation you throw at it. If it ever packs up as a phone, you’ll have to hang on to it just for the camera.
The angels look fantastic lit like that. They looked good in the daytime pics you uploaded, but the lighting makes them outstanding. I’m really pleased you managed to make it back there before the exhibition finished. Definitely worth a late trip to see them.
You’ll do your eyes in with that gecko, and probably bite the end off your tongue 😊

  2. I wanted to go back and see the angels lit, they were even more impressive than I had imagined, yu could make out more detail. The welcomes were lovely and they were even giving people a drink of hot chocolate if they wanted it. All in all well worth turning out in the rain, which thankfully had stopped by the time I arrived in Beverley.
