When I was feeding the birds this morning there were two magpies around. I managed to catch one, but with the phone and it was a good way off, but you can see it.
The fox had been visiting in the night, I had put some hedgehog food in a bowl and the poor fox really did not like the dish at all. So tonight I will just put the pellets on the ground! I will try and get a still picture of the fox actually moving the bowl for another entry.
I pottered again this afternoon and got some boxes ready for sending off packages,
I got a book of Lord Tennyson poems last week and really like one called The Eagle. I want to write it neatly in calligraphy and had a bit of a practice, the pen wasn’t running easily and ai didn’t draw guide lines so will practice some more!
I have watered the back garden this evening. It has clouded over a bit now which is good as it has been oppressively hot!
Your description of keeping nick nacks just in case rings so true with me. I was looking in the cupboard earlier for something and saw so much stuff that really needs getting rid of! I did think of doing a bit of tidying myself, but luckily I talked myself out of it 😊

The rain dance is definitely a first class failure! Really do wish the thunder storms didn’t keep bypassing us!
