I finished the box I was decorating last night and have given it a bit of a polish to stop any stickyness. Not sure that is a word but you get the picture!
I sent for a really nice book of papers for crafting and today I have made a couple of cards using them.
I had some suet blocks to cut up as I haven’t been able to get the suet logs since the beginning of lock down. Cutting the blocks means I can still use that particular feeder. When I went to put them in the greenhouse there was a squirrel on the lawn having a snack. I got within social distancing and it didn’t move so got a reasonable photo with the phone!
I went into the church for a while with Tina to help her get ready for a VJ service tomorrow. Took a picture while I was there!
I have made a start on a picture of an eagle. Building the colour up gradually, this one is black and white.
May go and water the bonsai trees quickly and hopefully be back in time to watch Vera!
Limiting yourself to an hour at a time in the garden, especially with the weather being as hot as it has been at the moment is a good idea. The bed you did today looks good, and as they say every little helps.
ReplyDeleteThe box looks great, I really do like it. That paper really suits it. It already looks like something that has years of age to it. I’m sure you have plenty of stuff that you can store in it.
The cards are great too. You really have had a good crafting day today. Just noticed the Eagle drawing. I don’t know where you find the time in a day to do all these things!
The squirrel looks cute. Was the fox back last night?
An hour in the garden was about right, will try and do a bit tomorrow as well.
ReplyDeleteI love the new paper pad, they are double sided sheets so you have to think carefully which side to use!
I hope the eagle painting turns okay, my plan is to write the poem on the canvas, so plenty of opportunities to mess it all up!
