Bus to Hull

Not a lot to write about today, I have booked a trip to Peterborough in February and needed to collect the tickets at the station. The knee is still painful so I thought bus trips and not too much walking seemed like a good idea. I fed the birds before I left and nipped to the local shop, then left two cats glaring at each other and made my escape. The bus journey took my mind off the knee a bit as my sciatic pain decided to join in!
Nice display at the station, Hull rally has made a huge effort since being the City of Culture a couple of years back.
I collected the tickets with no problems, but haven’t checked them yet, had better do that when I have finished this! I went to Poundland, I had hoped they would have some of their knee supports but didn’t have any in my size. Did have those though which is worth a try!
I got two packs and will try one tonight. I also got these napkins reduced to 50p as I thought they would be good for decoupaging boxes for next Christmas.
I did go to Savers as I was told they had Votarol at a reduced price, but they didn’t have the stronger strength one,
I had lunch at a nice little cafe called The Panini Cafe, although they did have quite a varied menu I did actually have a panini.
Was a bit um o for table on the long bus ride home and kept nodding off on both trips!
Haven’t done much else, have some washing in now and may watch White House Farm about the Bamber family killings.

  1. Well you’ve done a fair bit. Hope your tickets were right when you checked them this evening. It’s a long way to go back to sort them out!
Long bus rides always make me feel sleepy too. It’s the gentle rocking motion that does it. When I was a kid it didn’t make me sleepy, just sick! 😊
Seems you managed to find a few bargains while you were out, your good at that. I’ll be interested to see how you get on with the heat relief patches, and if they help at all.
You always manage to find a nice little cafe to eat as well. From your description earlier it sounded a really nice place.
Hope you don’t suffer tonight after your trip out.

  2. The tickets are all in order and I have put them with my rail card, don’t want to make that mistake again! I did struggle today and was going very, very slowly, but got quite a bit done so worth the effort.
I used to and still do get travel sick if I am not careful, so can’t read of sit playing a game on the phone when I am travelling on a bus.
