Still struggling

My knee is still pretty bad and weight-bearing difficult as is walking without limping. I wrote some letters this morning and got a couple of small packages ready to send. Had enough stamps to put on the packages so didn’t have to try and get to the post office.  I just walk a small area locally and was really struggling by the time I got home. I have the doctors appointment in the morning and Tina has agreed to adjust her timetable to get me there, as I really think I will not get there easily on my own. I did take one photo of a house that has trained the ivy round the window.
When I was out I bought some high strength Voltatol, anything is worth a try and the Ibuprofen gel doesn’t seem to make much difference.
I sorted through the Christmas cards so now have a few more letters to write.
I did get into the garden and topped up the bird feeders, making sure the cats were in at the time. The male pheasant is a regular visitor now, haven’t seen the flock so maybe he avoided being shot and is on his own now. A very welcome visitor and he seems to like the mealworms as well as the crows.
Hopefully I will have a bit more to write about tomorrow.

  1. I’m sure it was nice to get out for a short walk as I know how you hate being shut in. Glad you didn’t attempt anything longer though . It’s good that Tina is able to give you a lift in the morning. Hopefully she’ll be able to get you back too.
I really hope that Voltarol makes a difference, specially after you telling me what it costs! It must be made from fairy wings 😊
Letter writing is a perfect pastime for you right now. A good excuse to sit down for a while anyway.
    Like the ivy covered window.

  2. A short walk showed me that I am a long way from right, but glad that I have a lift in the morning,
I have a few more folk to get in touch with so plenty to keep me occupied if things don improve!
