Button crazy?

Firstly the knee rest was a waste of time and money, too high and too uncomfortable but worth a try. I have cut it down a bit this evening so will give it another try but not holding out a lot of hope.
I haven’t been out at all today except for feeding the birds in the garden. I hung the two new feeders and brought in two that had got mucky and weren’t being used. Have cleaned them up ready to go out again tomorrow.
Decided that I should get a bit active, as sitting around doing nothing isn’t good for my mood, and being occupied will take my mind off the troublesome knee a bit. In just over two weeks I am booked to do this putt on canvas class in the town, so set about making some templates and marking a few canvases.
Then I started placing buttons on but not sticking them down as I will need plenty of buttons on the day if a few people turn up. I hack take photos of the ideas along to give people ideas.

I also spent some hours sorting buttons into colour coded containers - loosely, but a bit easier to use!
Then one more sample and get tidied up a bit in time to watch Midsomer Murders this evening.
I had hoped that staying off the legs more today would mean that things eased, but sadly the really horrid pain in my left knee has reared it’s head again, never mind, despite that I have achieved a bit today!

  1. Maybe cutting the wedge down a bit will make it a bit easier to get comfortable with, and more to the point do some good for the knee. If not it’ll make a nice cat toy!
Glad you’ve not been too tempted to do too much walking. I know it’s hard to spend all the day at home, but I’m sure it’s better for you at the moment, although if the pain in the knee is back again tonight it’s not a good sign. Looks like you’ve kept yourself well occupied at least. I like all the example canvass you’ve done. Very nice choice of colours for the butterfly. Sorting the buttons was a task in itself. Just don’t drop the boxes though!
Hope they don’t murder too many of the residents in Midsomer this evening 😊

  2. I feel a bit more relaxed about the class now, will get some prints of the sample ideas done so that they can be ideas/inspiration!
The support will hopefully be a little more comfortable, only time will tell.
    Only one murder so far!
