Shopping in Doncaster

Today Mike and I got a taxi into Hull and caught a train to Doncaster. It has rained last night but was already brightening up by the time we caught the train. We had lunch together on the station and then Mike caught The Peterborough train. I had booked a later train back to Hull so that I could do some shopping in Frenchgate, the smart shopping centre next to Doncaster station. I got most of the things I wanted in the shopping centre and then went into the town to find The Body Shop. Had to aim for the clock tower first.
I did some train spotting, must be catching as I see lots of train spotters in my travels.
There was a great old bridge on the station, it had signs to say it was now weak.
I caught the train back to Hull and spotted the bicycle making stall at the station.
I got the bus home and then had tea with Darren and Tina. Feeling tired but it was a successful trip and Mike is home safely now.

  1. It was a nice day again. A lot of travel, but still nice. Really enjoyed my lunch too. Must add panini to my shopping list.
That’s a lovely old clock tower, well it is now I can see it.... 😀
Nothing Wong with a bit of trainspotting. There are some really colourful ones that make great pics. Just don’t start writing the numbers down too!
Sorry for wearing you out over the past few days. Take it easy for a couple of days now.

  2. The weather was kind again after a less than promising start. The lunch was much better than it looked like it was going to be. I was already worn out, so don’t worry!
