Sea and Scrabble

Pretty quiet day today, walked to the post office again to send off a parcel and had a look at the sea while I was out.
The sea had quite a green tinge but it doesn’t really show in the picture. I had a drink at the hut and took a picture of the paddling pool. Very still today but it got good use in the summer.
I made a cake and got dinner prepared before I set off to the front again for the Scrabble meeting. Just once a month and in different members homes. The lady today lives near the Floral Hall. Had two games and I won them both, even got all my letters out once, I will get barred!
I ‘rescued’ an African violet from a garden centre a few weeks ago and it is now flowering.
Holby this evening and maybe the new comedy drama ‘There she goes’.

  1. I never get tired of seeing pics of the sea. It can change so much day by day. Does look a bit rough and uninviting though. Didn’t realise that was a paddling pool. It looks more like decorative feature or a fountain to me. Bet it’s good for rinsing your feet off after being on the beach.
I’d never play scrabble against you, or Margherita for that matter πŸ˜€

  2. I actually think that pool is an accident waiting to happen round concret as it is, but as far as I know it has been used safely all summer.
My Scrabble program which thrashes me most of the time has sharpened my game up a bit!

  3. Hi Jan.... I didn't know you played scrabble let alone were good at it.... 8 aam quite rubbish with lots of boring 3 n 4 letter words like van or tree.
I went to West wittering Monday with my friend Claire from Farnborough and her 2 kids. It was very calm n warm day. Took their dog too, he was wary of the small waves until the kids (15 n 19) got in n paddled that gave him confidence.
Love the Robin, they are so cute And your garden and flowers always look great.
Scrabble club sounds fun, they play alot at my church {well they spent decades without a TV} and my boyfriend wants to play, but we can't afford a board yet and you never see it in charity. But I will get one soon .
I hope you are all well up there How is Tina's job going?
    Love Julie xxxx
