Last night I tried taking a picture of the car park using the low light feature. Not bad at all.
I learnt today that you should really be careful what you wish for, I had been so pleased to be on the sixth floor with a good view of the sunset. Wasn't so happy this morning when the fire alarm went off about 7.30 am and I had to walk down the six flights of stairs! It was chaos, no staff present and people everywhere, many of them in their night clothes, luckily I had been up and dressed at least. We must have hung around for about ten minutes with people still coming out and some going in. One of the other guests called 999 and reported the fact we were all outside. The fire engines arrived at about the time a member of staff did appear to say we could go back in. No lifts so had to walk up the six flights. The lefts were still out of action when Hazel was coming for me so I had to walk down again, my knees were not happy!!
We had breakfast at Hazel and Brian's and then they took me to a newly refurbished park area in the town, it was a lovely walk along by the water, and the surrounding gardens were great too.
The duck was very handsome!
We went and had a coffee in the town. They had a very unusual remembrance feature.
We had a very nice meal cooked by Hazel, sat outside for a bit and the three of us worked on a large crossword.
I am pleased to say that the lifts are working again this evening! The sky is very clear tonight after clouding up earlier and I was in time to just catch the sun as it set.
It has been a good day.
The car park pic looks good. You’ve definitely been reading the instruction book :-)
ReplyDeleteOh dear, that’s a lot of steps you’ve been up and down today! I would say it’s good for you, but I know it’s not with your knee and ankle. Hopefully it won’t happen again tomorrow morning, but on the bright side if it does, then it should only be one trip down the stairs. Just make sure you take your case so you don’t have to go back up!
Looks like you had some nice weather, and some very nice scenery for today. Glad you’ve had a bit of sun for your visit. Hope the trip home goes well.
Very pretty in those gardens and a lot of work being done in the town centre as well.
ReplyDeleteIt was great to be able to get out in some nice weather and the breeze made it very pleasant rather than excessively hot.
I am seriously hoping there is no excitement in the morning!
The greenhouse and all plants have been attended to today. No casualties to report!
ReplyDeleteThat's great, thank you, see you later. x
