Journeying home

Not a lot to report today. No excitement or unexpected exercise at the hotel this morning. Hazel picked me up and took me back to their flat where we all had breakfast together. Then Hazel took me to the station to set off on the journey home. Took this picture in the first, pretty much empty train, as it was all pretty much downhill from then!
I think this sign was on that train and I thought it was a very novel way to advertise pain relief.
The second train was so packed I ended up standing for about twenty five minutes before some people got off and I grabbed a seat. The next change was okay except one of the lifts was out of action so I did have to go down quite a lot more steps. That train was crowded but got my seat okay. I think I took this picture when we stopped at one point.
Had a bit more room in the final train and was trying not to nod right off as I didn't want to miss the station! It was in a couple of minutes early so managed to race to the bus station and get the next bus rather than have to wait for an hour.
Tina made tea and had got cake when I got in which was nice.
I have been out to check the trees and the greenhouse and we have had a shower of rain since I got home.
I have unpacked so will go and vegetate for the rest of the evening!

  1. Quite like the pic of the empty carriage. Not sure why really though. You do have a knack of getting pics of places and things without any sign of life. Human life that is, not just life in general :-)
Sounds like a nice time with Brian and Hazel, and all in all the travelling wasn’t too bad either. Can’t believe no one offered a seat to an old lady though :-) Bet you were ready for the cuppa and the cake when you finally got home.
Enjoy the rest of the evening. Vegetating sounds like a good plan.
