I got the camera charged and ready last night, took a picture in the bedroom, should have tidied up first!
Darren and I decided last night that we would leave early and go to Lebberston car boot and then he would go to archery after that. So, we were away before 7.30 and arrived about 8 am. It was the first one this year, already really busy when we arrived, and VERY muddy on the fields! We had our usual breakfast and then walked around for getting on for two hours. I bought quite a few bits and pieces, nothing large though. Darren spotted the little dvd player, that cost me £5. The items in the second picture I bought at a charity stall just before we were leaving.
Then we went to the archery field, took a picture of the view from where they shoot.
I did take a couple of pictures of all the archers but a lady told me not to photograph archers unless I had their permission, so won't post them. Just some of Darren, without his permission!
I went back to the car then as they are focused on what they are doing and had all the benches filled with their belongings. This picture was from just near where the car was parked.
It was an overcast and misty sort of day today. Then this one I was just playing about.
As we drove back I was admiring the effect of the wind turbines in the misty looking sky. Darren kindly pulled into a layby to let me take a couple of pictures.
We stopped at a farm shop/cafe for tea and cake, we had been a couple of hours at the archery field so over four hours by then since we had a cuppa.
I had a play with the paint sticks for a while this afternoon making some background sheets for cards or other craft work.
Darren came up and set up the little Bush dvd player, it works a treat and fits on top of the Sky box.
We have had dinner and watched the painting challenge program. Pleased with the first use of the camera, looking forward to taking pics out there on a good day.
Firstly, the pics from your new camera look good. From inside to outside, it seems to handle the different lights very well. You’ll soon have it worn in :-)
ReplyDeleteYou were out very early. You’re keen car booters. Luckily the one I go to doesn’t start until 10am, unlike your silly o’clock! I like the wooden rack with the brass corner strengtheners. “Serenity is the......”, cant make it out. Like the bag too. Very you.
Glad to see you’re getting ready to make more cards. You really are getting back into the crafting now.
Really like the self portrait in the car mirror. Every photographer has to take that shot at least once in their life :-)
It actually says 'Brevity is the soul of wit'. a great little letter rack, it will clean up nicely too.
ReplyDeleteI am pleased with the ease of use of the camera, really very similar to the Canon which is good. It will get well used.
It was worth going early, the Cumberland sausage sandwiches take some beating!!
