A couple of London pics to prove we were actually there. We had to go a couple of stops on the underground and Anya had heard that you could now just swipe your contactless debit card to get access and as you left the underground and you would then be charged for the trip. We were doubtful but it worked like a dream which was quite exciting really, we will be interested to find out what we will be charged. We got off at Leicester Square and found the theatre and restaurant locations. Took pics as well.
We had lunch at a lovely little Italian restaurant and had a bit of time so thought we would have a wander around, we hadn't realised just how close we were to Trafalgar Square.
Wouldn't be a day out with me without a little bit of silliness!!
We made our way to the theatre, what a lovely building. Took a picture of the screen and one of the interior before the show started.
The show was absolutely brilliant, very good performances all round and it became a musical really successfully. Lots of laughs and pretty much all of the one liner jokes in the film. We made our way back to Kings Cross, and got seats together on a train although they hadn't been reserved as we didn't know which train we would be catching.
Back here early enough to have a lovely relaxing evening with Rachel. A great day.
Will just finish with the selfie that Anya took and sent me.
London isn’t too bad a journey from here, a short hop really. Not sure I’d do it though as I’d definitely get lost on the underground, or above ground come to that :-) Glad you had a good time with Anya, I thought you would. The silliness just adds to the day, and I’d expect no less to be honest! Auit3 handy it being so close to Trafalgar Square. Surprised I can’t see any pigeons in the pics. Second thought, that looks like one on the horse and the riders head.
ReplyDeleteBet the show was really good. I love the film, and as you say some great one liners.
Hope you have a good day tomorrow to round off a nice weekend.
It is a pretty easy trip from Peterborough and straight forward when we were there too.
ReplyDeleteA really lovely day, hopefully sleep well tonight now.
