Flower hanger.

That title could be a bit misleading, it is a flower shaped hanger for me to decorate and hang a tea towel and hand towel on, but more of that in a bit.
This morning we had some frost again, but have come off lightly with the weather this week, although the wind is bitterly cold once you get outside.
I need to get the door on that greenhouse sealed before I get it full of tender young plants.
I caught the but to Freeport this morning, thought I would go and see if there was a class on at the craft outlet. There wasn't today, they have lost a member of staff and are not doing classes at the moment. Had a chat and laugh with the ladies though and bought a flower shaped hanger to decorate and have near the fridge in the bedroom.
Tina commented that I hadn't put a picture of my very tall amaryllis on the blog. so here goes, the plants on the trolley by the window in the bedroom are all loving the position. Behind the amaryllis are the coffee plants which I have had two or three years now, they were all tiny and in one small mug when I got them. I will take another picture of the amaryllis when it opens properly, it should be spectacular.
I had some decoupage paper with fruits on, I didn't buy any especially, so decided that was what I would use to decorate the hanger.
It looks quite attractive now, I will get it on the wall tomorrow and will sew tapes on the hand towels and tea towels so that they stay on the hook!
Watched one episode of The Two Ronnies today, will watch Room 101 in a bit. Spent a bit of time finishing reading The Handmaid's Tale, it was well written and described but not the sort of book I would usually read. May start Goodnight Mr Tom tonight, I got it for Christmas and absolutely loved the tv adaption with John Thaw.

  1. The garden looks enormous from that window view and the greenhouse looks lost! I know it is a big garden, but that accentuates it. Considering your more up north than me, you really are doing well with the weather. When it’s a pleasant frost down here it should be snowdrifts up there. Not that I’m wishing them on you.
I really like the flower hanger. Took me a second glance to work it out when I saw the picture, but I have to say it looks amazing since you’ve decorated it!
The area where the plants are now in the bedroom looks larger than the actual bedroom you had at the last house :-) The amaryllis is ginormous! I had one once, they are gorgeous plants but I was always worried it would fall over.

  2. The garden does look huge from that window. Tina has told me that there is even a bit more that is strictly ours behind the church!
I think the flower hanger will be just what I need. I have some tape to make loops on the tea towels.
The amaryllis is red so it should be really stunning.
If we are knee deep in snow tomorrow I will know who to blame!
