On the way home I called in at the newsagents as we had heard that there was an article about Tina in it, She had been interviews a while ago. We weren't expecting front page though!
We were expecting deliveries so I put a note on the door to say I was in the garden so that I could go into the greenhouse and finish off the first lot of staging.
There was a bag of black caps to go over the nuts, so spent a bit of time getting those on as well.I came in for a bit and had some lunch as there was another delivery expected. When that arrived I went out to tidy the store cupboard outside, as Rob, who mows the lawns wanted to collect his lawnmower to be serviced. He would have had to move a ton of stuff to get to it, so thought it was time to sort it out a bit. Took some trays and pots round to the greenhouse so that it looks more like a place for growing activity.
And put my spider sculpture on guard!!
Talking of garden ornaments, the rocking birds have gone a lovely rust colour now they are outside.
One of the deliveries today was two shower caddies that can hang on the glass. Quite attractive and much better than the metal one I had that didn't hang straight. The other one Tina will use for the bath shower.
Tina went into Scarborough today to meet up with a friend and have a haircut. She knows I have been looking for a small occasional table in dark wood, and spotted a magazine rack that has a top. She got it for me for £10 and it is perfect for my room.
I feel like I have been reasonably busy today so not planning on doing much more. Maybe a bit of the puzzle.
You’re certainly getting plenty of exercise, with the walking, swimming and all the other little jobs you’re doing around the house. You’ll be as fit as a fiddle soon, or totally knackered, one of the two :-)
ReplyDeleteThat’s posh, Vicar Tina getting the front page of the newspaper! A definite celebrity now.
The greenhouse is really starting to look like a greenhouse now, if you see what I mean. Hopefully the spider will keep the slugs and snails away!
Lots of new stuff too today. I have to say I really like the magazine rack. Well spotted by the vicar :-)
I hope your evening is more relaxing than your days been.
We'll have to pay tuppence to talk to her soon! Seriously, really good to get the front page, making an impact.
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean about the greenhouse, I can't wait to get started really.
The magazine rack is just what I needed for the rare occasion I may have a couple of visitors at one time.
Jigsaw this evening, not sure that it can be classed as relaxing though!
