Fab stretchy shoes, ideal for the gym!

Was taking pictures of the items that are to go on the wall in the walled garden at the back of the house. With a bit of luck they will be fitted for us in the not too distant future. A large arched mirror and a mosaic, made by one of my group when I was a day centre officer working with the disabled in the 1980's. The butterfly has had a few different homes and I can't wait to have it back on show.

I had written some overdue letters last night, so went along to post them before I caught the but to Freeport. I haven't felt that great today, bit of a headache and a 'funny' tummy, but had decided to go as we wanted a couple more of the bargain bath mats if they had any left. I was only there about an hour and didn't go in the shop that sells the great garden ornaments, took a photo on a couple outside instead.
Neither did I go in the craft outlet as there is really nothing I need and I would have ended up buying stuff in the sale. I went into Pavers to see if they now stocked the trainers I have that are comfortable. They didn't, but they did have these great little shoes, the strips are a sort of elastic so they are very stretchy and don't restrict the awkward places on my feet. They did come in plain colours but where is the fun in that?
They are very light and will be perfect for the gym. I went to Pound Stretchers and got three £1.99 bargains, so glad I made the trip.
I had a cup of tea in the cafe that also has a good butchers and got some liver for tea, which Tina and I enjoyed earlier.
When I got back from Freeport a man turned up with the panel of glass for the porch, also a new pane for one of the dining room windows. He fitted the panel and I cleared behind the dining room window so that he had access, but in the end he didn't do that as the pane of glass was too big! These odd jobs will get done - eventually.
I struggled on with the jigsaw using the magnifying glass, only a few more pieces in. Not helpful that there are about twenty Wapontake places!! I wasn't going to post the progress but thought I would as it could be a while yet before it is finished. Tina has enlarged the guide sheet for me a bit so that I may not need to use the magnifier next time!
We have watched Vera on catch up this evening and really enjoyed it. As long as I feel okay in the morning I intend to set out early.

  1. The mosaic hadn’t seen much daylight for a few years, it’ll be good to get it hanging again. Quite like the mirror too.
Maybe the gym and swimming you did upset your system a bit. It should get easier the more you do it. So they say :-) Never been a gym and swim person myself, so I wouldn’t know. Looks like you still managed a fair bit today. It’s hard work shopping for bargains, and you seem to have found a few. I think you did well not going into the craft outlet or the ornament shop, bet you will another day though :-)
That puzzle really does look a nightmare, even just seeing it in a photo! It looks almost done too.......almost!

  2. Over half done but the map part is the hardest, such small writing and so many places with the same or similar names!!
I am sure I will be back at Freeport and not able to resist the temptation another time!
