The greenhouse survived Storm Eleanor!

Once it was light enough the first thing I checked was that the greenhouse was still standing, thankfully it was. I looked out of the front window to see that the contents of the recycling bin were decorating the front garden! So I nipped out to post a letter and clear up most of the paper and card that I could reach, well, until I got tired of that game anyway! Behind the large fir tree that Blue likes to climb there were a little cluster of snowdrops making an appearance.
Went through to the back to take a picture of my pride and joy....
Spent the morning in doing chores as Tina was in church and we were expecting deliveries. Made a turkey pie for later as we had been defrosting it overnight. Most of the afternoon except for another short spell on parcel watch was outside in the greenhouse. Had to have a selfie.
Charlie followed me out the back and sat on guard a bit and did wander in and out to see what I was up to.
My turn to do some assembling, with less that clear instructions, but nothing new there.
A start and then one of the shelves completed.

I did get both shelves done before I came in, it was dark anyway and I was getting dinner! Actually assembling the staging shouldn't be as fiddly.
When I started the new jigsaw I still had the one of Scarborough I did in the caddy, so this evening I put it up on the wall, as I had sealed it and left it in the caddy quite a while ago.
Thinking of going to Hull on the bus tomorrow.

  1. I didn’t notice the wind getting too bad here last night, but it was extremely blowy when I went into town earlier. Didn’t see lots of rubbish laying around either, so it didn’t blow too many bins over, or it just blew all the rubbish away :-)
The greenhouse is looking good. I know you’ve wanted one for a long time, so it’s nice to see one finally waiting for you to make good use of, once you get the shelving finished!
Glad to see you put the old jigsaw on the wall. It deserves to be seen after all the effort that went into it. I think there’ll be another to go up soon.
Hope the weather stays reasonable for you to go to Hull tomorrow. Nice little bus trip.

    1. I am really looking forward to getting the greenhouse properly set up and have stuff growing in there. I had another single staging to assemble as well, will know what I am doing by the time I have finished them!
I have suggested that we have the latest jigsaw up somewhere prominent when it is done, as it is of local interest.
Just over an hour on the bus each way, I will probably doze off, but at least I am getting off at it's destination!!
