The puzzle is finished!
Not a lot to report today. I went out early again to gym and swim, didn't stay in the pool quite so long today but did all the exercises on my chart in the gym. Not quite so cold today but very grey and misty, you could only just make out the distant cliffs.
I went for a walk to the shops going right out of the drive. got a new battery for one of my watches and went to a little fancy goods shop that I have been meaning to visit. The ladies were friendly and they do a couple of courses so I got some details. Went and did a bit of grocery shopping while I was out.
It has been a drizzly day and I really didn't feel inclined to work in the garden. Came up to carry on with the jigsaw. You know it is a difficult one when you are reduced to sorting out all the remaining pieces into shape groups!
Over four hours at it today, and about an hour before I was finished I was looking for the missing pieces as I was convinced I had lost some! I hadn't, and it is finished, it is a fabulous map.
I have sprayed it with varnish now so the whole house stinks and we will all be high or have awful headaches! Will look great on display somewhere though.
I have phoned a lady about a Scrabble group that meets once a month and am going along next week. Also going to try Aqua jog tomorrow, so trying to spread my wings a bit.
Will watch Death in Paradise later.
An energetic start to the day, and a slightly more relaxing time as the day went on . When I say relaxing, I’m sure it didn’t feel like that while you were struggling with that puzzle! I have to say it does look good now it’s finished and deserve a place to hang.
ReplyDeleteYou definitely are getting out and about. The scrabble will be right up your street, as I know you enjoy a game. Bet Margherita misses playing now her main opponent isn’t around as often.
I think the aqua jog will be good. I’d probably even give it a go.
I do like it when I finish any puzzle, but it is extra special when it has been a real challenge. Not that I would want to do the ones that are all baked beans or Smarties!!
DeleteThe lady sounded nice and she said they have a laugh and usually manage to have a couple of games with a cuppa and biscuit in between.
