Sun catcher and sea

Not a lot to write about today, but will start with pictures of the lovely flowers from Donna (chosen by Amy) and the sun catcher that Amy made at Rainbows and gave to me.

I stayed in this morning, did a bit of washing and some reading. Packages expected again so I stayed downstairs. They arrived before I went off to have my induction at the gym. Cold out and my knee was the one playing up today! I spent about an hour with Janine, who did a health check and then tried me on some apparatus. Today the exercise cycles were a complete no no as I couldn't manage one turn round because of the pain. But got on okay with the rowing machine and the treadmill, and only have short targets to start with so shouldn't get too bored! Then quite a lot of exercises to do to help strengthen the muscles around the knees using bands and a ball. She made it pleasant enough for me to want to go along and try a few times to see if it helps. No getting sweaty or over doing it, so could be just what I need.
The wind was cold, the sea rough and grey when I came out.

I called in at the pet come garden shop on the way back and got a small watering can and a spray bottle to keep in the greenhouse, as there is no water outlet near it.
Spent quite a time this afternoon putting a few pieces into the very difficult puzzle. Will continue with it a few bits at a time. Lots of names the same and I need the magnifying glass to find then on the small guide picture!
I have been packing away all the Christmas stuff and sorting recycling and charity shop donations. Not going to do much this evening. going to go to the gym and then swim early in the morning, providing I get up in time!

  1. Love the sun catcher. It was really nice of her to want you to have it too.
You’ll be so fit soon with all the walking you’ve been doing, and now with swimming and gym visits too. Jogging next :-) All of that beats sitting in doing extremely hard jigsaw puzzles. Bet it’s come close to the bin a few times! You’ll finish it though.
The greenhouse is starting to looked used now, which is good. It’ll look even better when it overflowing with new growth and colours.
Enjoy your mega early outing tomorrow.

  2. To be vaguely fit would be a bit of a dream!
The sun catcher is cute, and in my living room it will pick up the morning sun.
Not thought about the bin but have had a passing thought to give up and pack it away!
Might as well get out there early while the mood is with me, it may fade just as quickly!
