After I finished the jigsaw last night I used a lacquer spray twice. This morning it had sealed the colour but the pieces still came apart. So, before I went out I painted it over with decoupatch glue and hoped for the best. I walked down to look at the sea before I went into the leisure centre. There have been no bright skies or sunrises for a while, this morning was a little brighter and a bit warmer I think.
I swan a couple of lengths before the instructor came with the belts for the aqua jog. Half an hour of trying to 'jog' and do exercises in the deep end while trying to get used to the belt, was challenging but I will go again as they were quite a nice bunch and a variety of proficiency levels. I had a drink out of one of the machines but came home and made breakfast.
The decoupatch glue worked and I can now pick the puzzle up so will have a chat with Tina and Darren to see where we can display it. Looks really good.
We have a wooden unit that is surplus to requirements in the kitchen, so said I would see if it would be useful in the greenhouse. I wanted to change the position of the staging anyway, so emptied everything out and got them swapped round. Tina came out just in time for us to get the unit in. The door isn't right, but we did the best we could, need a handy man or two to sort it out for me!
I feel quite tired today, but as the weather was a little better thought I should at least try and clear the clumps for grass that I dug up before Christmas!
I did prune one of the bushes in the front as well as it looks tatty and it has been bothering me.
This afternoon I opened up the box of dvd's, the complete Two Ronnies. Have watched the first three episodes. Don't remember them at all but they were very funny, have loads to go through. The box set has all twelve series, and the Christmas specials.
Room 101 is back tonight, always good for a giggle.
Quite an active day for you today. Not necessarily all through the day, but I bet it all added up to more than a normal day for most people! Glad you liked the aqua jogging. I’ve no doubt you’ll soon fit in with the regulars and make friends.
ReplyDeleteThe garden looking good, but I’m not really sure you should be doing all that digging and borrowing yourself. What you need is a big strong Darren to help :-) The greenhouse looks proper now, and definitely used.
Glad you found a little time to relax, although not as much as should! Tut tut.
The grass has actually turfed into the path, so peeling some of it off was not easy as it had grown round the original gravel!
ReplyDeleteVery lazy evening, just the ticket!
I will certainly go to aqua jog again, one lady I spoke to goes onto a balance ball class afterwards!
I forgot that it wasn’t a gravel drive when we moved in. Not s easy to trim the grass now!
