I developed a cough yesterday and then it became a bit of a cold, so I asked Darren if he would drive me to Sainsbury's and I would walk back. We did a bit of shopping then went our own ways. I headed for the ceramics studio where I intended to finish the plate ready for firing. I took a picture of a different church on my walk.
Then a picture of this car advertising the Balti restaurant which makes me smile every time I pass it.
Spent almost another couple of hours on the plate, not at all sure the highlights will work but should know one way or the other before Christmas!
Home now with plenty of cough and cold cures! I am snuggled in my indoor comfy clothes and looking forward to the Strictly final.
That's what sons, and daughter-in-laws, are for. Make use of them! (Sorry Darren)
ReplyDeleteThe plate looks great. You've definitely got a lot of patience to do all the fiddly detail on it. I hope they don't drop it on the way in or out of the kiln! I won't even hold it when I look at, just in case. You know how clumsy I am!
I did say to them that I hope nothing explodes in the kiln!!
ReplyDeleteOh poor you, all those early mornings down by the sea, keep warm. I'm sure they will be careful with your plate. It looks great. Xx
ReplyDeleteNot coughing too badly, Tina has read that if you put vicks on the soles of your feet (wearing socks then) you don't cough in the night! Going to try this old wives tale tonight!!
