Today I spent the whole morning clearing more of the reedy plant out. Still plenty to clear!
Tina also wanted the mauve looking plant in the first picture removed as it has very vicious spikes. Battled on and Darren came out and remove the large one in the second picture, which we are pretty sure was the 'mother' plant.
Darren and I loaded the car, and we had to make two runs with the car crammed like this!
Now the garden is reedy plant free, although I am sure I will be digging up roots for many months to come! I may plant a few bulbs and flowers this evening.
Wow! You have worked hard, looking good now xx
ReplyDeleteI have a few plants we bought at the garden centre last week, so am going to put them in this evening.
DeleteI totally agree with Hazel. It looks much better now, and it certainly looks like it was hard work!
DeleteSure was, just done a bit of planting, but can't dig any more, Tina's fork broke in half and my one that had a bent tine now has two!!
