I have been for a little while now, didn't get near a computer all weekend so will update now! A good journey down to Peterborough on Friday, Mike met me and we had lunch and visited the elderly ladies I used to see every week. Hadn't told them I was coming down and they were both pleased to see me and have a good natter. Emmie is 94 this weekend and Ruby already 94! Spent a couple of hours with Rachel in the evening and took a picture of Ethan, her younger son, in his smart cadet uniform.
Rachel took me to my sisters where I stayed for the two nights. We had a game of Scrabble before retiring. Yesterday I went to Anya's for about 10.30 am and we went to Belton House for the day. I never did get to go with them before I moved, and they go there quite a bit. I can see why, beautiful grounds and great facilities for children and adults.Took a family picture when we arrived.
We walked through a great activity area for the children, lots of different equipment, but well spread out in lovely grounds. Anya and Isobel had a reflective moment on the swings.
Then Isobel had an energy spurt with Louis!
Then I got on camera, not wanting to be totally left out!
A picture of the house, which was impressive outside and very interesting inside.
There was a lovely formal garden, took another photo of the family, this time by the fountain.
Those of you who know me well will know that I cannot resist the insect photo opportunities!
Two pictures from the orangery where there were some lovely exotic flowers.

We didn't leave until end of play and had a very nice Chinese meal on the way home. Then Anya took me back to spend the evening with Margherita and Rose. Another game of Scrabble and crawl into bed! Today I met up with Angie Mike and Anya for breakfast and Angie and I had a really good chat and catch up.  Then off for more catching up with the twins, Michelle and Julie. I bought a film,  Ladies in Lavender at a second hand shop in Belton and watched it with Michelle this afternoon. Then I was back on the train for the journey home. A busy weekend, but great to see so many of my friends.
