I have been to town this morning, got an application form to volunteer at charity shop and had a list of things to get. Should have taken the trolley as the bird seed was quite heavy. There is a Cushionflex shoe shop in town which has very reasonably priced shoes. Although I have real trouble getting comfy shoes because of the width of my feet, but have got some shoes and boots and pain £45 in total. Trying the shoes at the moment and I think they will be fine, and they are not trainers!! Darren and I went down to the sea front last night and had fish and chips sat watching the sea. The castle looked impressive in the evening light.
The sunset wasn't as good as I had hoped, but this funky little car pulled up just as we were leaving.
This morning there were blue tits on the feeder and the first bird I have seen on the suet feeder. The wind was blowing a gale so I wasn't hanging out of the window waving the camera around - honestly!! You can see that they are not sparrows though.....

  1. I think it's a great idea doing a bit in a charity shop. You'll meet new people, and might even snaffle a few bargains :-)
I hope the shoes from the new shop work out ok. Might save you having to send to the USA for them.
You're getting quite a selection of photo's of the castle under different conditions. Maybe you should consider making a collage when you have a few more.

    1. That is a really good idea Mike, I will start collecting them into a separate folder.

    1. Yes, I am sure more birds will come, especially now it is turning chilly. I wore the shoes inside for a couple of hours, I think they will be okay. Have a lovely birthday and break. xxx
