I have had quite a busy day and feel pretty tired at the moment, but a sit down with a cuppa and my feet up should revive me! I did go swimming early, didn't do a great deal but at least I got there! Darren and I went to the second hand shops. The second hand tools first, where we got a garden fork, as both of the ones we owed have bitten the dust through overwork! Then to the second hand shop that is closing down, Darren got his bookcase which was a good buy at £3 but I got the bargain of the day, two chairs for £1 each!
This one is in the lounge, the other, identical but not quite so clean, is in the bedroom. They are comfy too! I went off for a walk into town this afternoon and then collected my plaque that I painted last week at the ceramics studio. I bought some ribbon in town to hang it with.
This afternoon I went to the garden centre with Darren and Tina, we had a snack there and then bought more plants for the garden and a couple of paving slabs to make a path to the lawn in the front. They bought me a small air plant which is very attractive.

  1. The chairs were definitely a bargain. I assume you'll eventually take the price tag off? :-)

The plaque turned out well. I was wondering where you were going to screw it. Putting ribbon on it would never have occurred to me.

Do you have to feed and water air plants?

    1. I have removed the tag! Left it on because I thought it was an unbelievable bargain! Going to get the steps out and have the plaque above the door in the lounge. I need to check on line but I think you just have to spray the air plants with water now and again.

  2. You certainly had a full day, no wonder you feel tired you did not draw for breath.
Scarborough has many bargains well done. All the hard work in the garden will pay dividends next year when you will be able to sit out and admire you handy work .
