Had a really brilliant day out today with Tina. We set off in time to get to Pickering to catch the 9.30 am train on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Took loads of photos during the day so have tried not to have too many on this post. This one is a funky one taken on the train.
The view at Goathland was good, and we had to climb a thankfully very short hill that was 1:4!
After the hill and a short walk we were in Aidensfield, great for Heartbeat fans.
We then set off on the three and a half mail walk to the next station which was mostly through beautiful woodland, the mist had cleared and it was a bit like a tropical forest, very steamy!
There were lots of webs across the bushes and were stunning with the mist or dew.
The next two pictures are of a great carved bench depicting the fact that horses used to pull the trains up the hill to the station.

Along the path there was a slow worm, and people not far behind us with a dog, so a took a picture and then moved him to safety, it wrapped itself round my hand!
Will add another post in a bit with a couple more pics and the end of the tale!
