Trip into Beverley

I went out a couple of times before we went out, early to post a letter and the second time to collect my prescription. Then I had a walk round the garden, will add two pics of the double poppy as one shot is better of the bee and the second better of the hover flies.
Pandora has taken while to venture out of the window, but is getting braver now!
We set off for Beverley just after eleven. First stop when we arrived was for Tina to collect her new glasses. Then we went to Seasalt and both bought something in the sale. We had a nice lunch and then called in at M&S so I could buy some more of their matcha tea. Tina wanted to try the strawberry and cream sandwiches they had advertised but they had sold out!
One of the churches had this very nice mural in the grounds.
We called in at Hornsea garden centre on the way back and Tina bought me plants in the sale.
Watching some tennis before heading out into the garden.

  1. A reasonably slow day for you today compared to some you have. It’s always good when you manage to get out for a while with the Rev. I’m very curious about strawberry and cream sandwiches. Very unusual, but I’d give them a go too 🙂 I suppose I should have guessed that going out with Tina would involve a garden centre somewhere. More plants to get in 🙂
Things are looking good out there. The bees and hover flies seem to love the poppies. You certainly do your part in keeping the insect habitats thriving. It’s a shame more people don’t.
Pandora looks happy with her very own lookout tower. She can certainly keep an eye on things from up there. Does she jump down? That’s actually quite a nice pic of her up there.

  2. She hasn’t got near enough to the edge to consider jumping, but time will tell.
Have been out this evening and got a lot of the plants in, that’s me exhausted now! I didn’t water the bonsais so will do them in the morning.
