Another opening window!

The three window men arrived this morning as planned, they had said it might only be too and I think they would have had there work cut out with just two workers. Today all three worked on the large window in the dining room. It is finished and they will get started on Darren and Tina’s sitting room and the kitchen tomorrow.
They came prepared and we did have one shower.
That is a bit window and it was in a pretty bad state. I got to look in the bit where the weights go!
I spent a while, quite a while actually, as I was working out ingredients for the cakes. My cookery book and me are in pounds and ounces, so then I have to convert it, making twelve cakes again but one is large and make three loaf shaped cakes.
I did sort it a few of the more recent art bits, I grouped together the ones I thought would be good to use for sets of notecards. Like everything else I haven’t got around to it.
The one pic of some other bits.
Took a pic of the finished window on the way to Sarah and David’s .
We haven’t tried opening it yet!
Took a photo of the yucca in the front garden when I came home as despite the weather I have never seen it with so many blooms.
No gardening today, I don’t want to add any more bites to my poor ankles!

  1. They’re very good workers. They certainly get on with the work, and make a good job. You’ll miss having them around 🙂
The cake ingredients look very complicated. You really need to find a shop that still works in pounds and ounces. It’s a lot of cakes again and dragging the ingredients home will be a task in itself 😊 Although I’m sure you don’t think so, they are really worth the effort.
Those sketches will be perfect for notecards. I can assure you that you’re not the only one who doesn’t get around to things. I’m terrible!
Is that sketch (3 in 1 pic) another view of Kew?
The dining room window looks good. A nice neat job. I’m sure it won’t be any problem to open at all 😊
The yukka looks really nice. I don’t think I’ve ever seen one with that many blooms on it.
Put your feet up and rest your ankles.

  2. It’s not Kew, it is the church at Mirfield where Tina trained.
The window men are really good I every respect, they certainly crack on with the job and clear everything away
I really must try to get some notecards, Sher and Caroline have both said they would sell them for me.

  3. It looked a bit like Kew 😂 If I had more than 2 working brain cells I'd be dangerous!
Add the notecards to your to-do list 😊
