Lots of rain forecast, none fell!

It has been quite warm gain today and the supposed rain has avoided us again so far. It is due to rain all day tomorrow, that may just happen as it is carnival weekend. I went to see Bel who had got herself worked up because she got up late, so we had a second cup of tea as she hadn’t hd one before I got there.
I had a walk round the garden and cleaned and filled the bird baths then took some photos.
I think I may be able to salvage the other three petunias, that looked slightly more alive after a night with water!
I took a photo of a fabulous ornament at Bels.
Pandora allows Tina and even Darren occasionally to pick her up. But despite the time she spends with me she still won’t let me pick her up!
I nipped along to see Sher for a while, we had a natter but she is really suffering with  bad back.
I walked down to the post office as Tina needed a letter sent off that was to be signed for. I didn’t go anywhere else a I was weary in the heat and I want to be okay for my trip to Peterborough tomorrow.
I will probably water despite the forecast as it is clear blue skies at the moment.

  1. It's been way too hot in this neck of the woods, but as you say the rain is due. Supposed to be a deluge here over the weekend. Perfect timing for a trip! ☔
Lots of pics this evening. I like the one from behind the poppy heads. Quite different. The ornament at Bel's house is great. I'd be frightened to ever dust it in case I knocked an ear off 🙂
By your standards a pretty easy day. The travelling tomorrow will make up for it. I hope you have a good trip.
    Cats are treacherous things 😂

They are the poppy beds for the large double flowers and I though they were quite splendid.
We were supposed to be having rain and thunder storms all afternoon and we have had blue skies and sunshine!
Probably be rain in Hornsea tomorrow to spoil the carnival.
