The journey into Hull was uneventful, it had started to rain at the bus stop but a couple of miles out of Hornsea there had obviously been more rain as there were puddles on the roadside. I had time for a quick drink before catching the first train to Doncaster which was on time and not too crowded. Everywhere at Doncaster wa busy, I hd a bit of time and wander round then managed to get a drink at a place that couldn’t do food as the oven was down, so it wasn’t busy! Walked outside as I had spotter the amazing artwork on a building.
The second train was n time but very hot and absolutely heaving. There was a lady in my seat but she moved without an argument. It was raining when I got to Peterborough but not too hard and I met Anya at Waitrose. We had a snack and drink and the rain was heaving down when we had finished so got a bit damp getting to the car. She dropped me off at the care home and had been going to a dog park session and then pick me up. Margherita was in bed as she gets recurring infections in her leg and was on new antibiotics but she was on gret form and I put her cars up for her. Any texted and had changed her mind about the dog park so came to join us bringing Aurora.we all had about an hour together and then we took Aurora home nd Nya took me back to the station. Just before we left Anya gave Margherita a dog treat for Aurora to try and get her to go closer, managed to catch the moment.
The trains home we’re okay and on time, which is good as I had about a fifteen minute changeover at Doncaster.. two not very good and very misty pics of the bridge on the way hone!
When I was waiting for the bus I thought I spotted a drone but realised it was a bird scared!
Quite an eventful bus ride home, halfway the driver had to do an emergency stop with had on hooter as well, I was on seats behind the driver so didn’t actually see the car pull out. Then later on the journey he stopped the bus and came down to a group of noisy youngsters at the back and told them to get off as they had been opening the emergency door when he was driving. One of the lads swore at him and then it was definitely ‘get off my bus’ the three girls sat down but he told them to get off too.we were about four miles out of Hornsea nd it was walkable and they all had phones, but a man on the bus started ranting and said he was gong to report the driver, all good fun!
I was glad to be home after a long day but so pleased I decided to go.
The pop out photo is quite good. Google do so many things!
ReplyDeleteYou’ve had a really long day of travelling. I know the journeys consist of a lot of sitting down, but it still all takes it out of you. Did Margherita know you were going, or was it a surprise?
I do like the artwork you found in Doncaster. A lot of work has gone into that. You always manage to find stuff like that on your travels.
It was good Anya could ferry you about while you were here. So much better than catching more buses. It was nice of her to take Aurora to see Margherita. I bet that went down well 🙂
A very Misty pic of the bridge today, but I actually really like it.
Sounds like fun on the bus. I don’t blame the driver for throwing them off. It endangers other passengers if they’re messing with the emergency door. I don’t think the man complaining about the driver will get far. The bus company will definitely back the driver. You always seem to find the trouble or is it the trouble always finds you? 😊
Hope you manage a good nights sleep after all that.
Yes, Margherita did know I was coming this time.
ReplyDeleteIt would have been taxis if Anya hadn’t been able to ferry me about otherwise I would have had even less time at the home,
I thought that was very good artwork on the building, it seems to be more of a thing now, which I think is great.
No, I thought ‘good for you’ when he got the kids of the bus.
Margherita was happy to see the dog as she has been told about her and I have shown her pictures.
Time for bed now.
