Quite a pleasant day

I had a morning wander round the garden and the pink gladioli are opening now, very pretty.
I walked to the front to meet Linda via the bank, the memorial garden and the library. This tree trunk was interesting.
I was a bit early so time to take some photos.
I had a cuppa when I got in and Had Pandora on my lap for a bit. She settled on the chair as soon as I moved!
Went and had lunch at the Green Owl with Tina and as it was overcast again went and got the last six plants in.
I have a lot of spider jewellery, mostly brooches but a couple of necklaces and lots of earrings of course. Thought it was time to actually wear some of them! This vintage necklace is the biggest, May as well start as you mean to go on!

A bit more sorting and I found another bag of artwork. So here goes for some more pics.
Tina spent some time making some candles this afternoon. Will be a a day or so before she turns them out.
I went to see Sarah and David this evening and then did some watering this evening! I bought two more of the watering cans on the way back this morning, they are great, not so heavy so I carried eight cans, two at a time obviously.

  1. The gladioli do look lovely. Dame Edna would be proud of those 🙂
You’re like me, you notice stuff like the tree trunk. A lot of people walk by and never see it. It’s the photographic eye I think.
It looks nice and cool down at the front. Specially with those waves breaking like that. We actually had some rain today. It last all of 3 minutes! But it has been slightly cooler today.
Lunch out with Tina is always good, and I know you like that place.
When you say you got the last six in, you mean the last six of the latest batch. I’m sure there’ll be a few more batches yet 😊
You do have a lot of funky jewellery, so you should wear it. A lot of people couldn’t get away with it, but it just seems right on you. Go show it all off.
Looking though your artwork tonight, I’ve got a photo of the building at Empingham reservoir taken from virtually the same spot as you’ve drawn it. It is nice there.
Tina really is into the candle making. You’ll be fine if you ever have power cuts 😊 It always seems a shame to burn after someone has taken time to makes them. Daft I know.
I thought you were going to get help carrying those cans up and down the garden? You are bad doing it all yourself!

  2. It was a lovely walk this morning, overcast and a cool breeze and then a really nice catch up with Linda, we will try not to leave it so long next time.
The gladioli are lovely, I am hoping the yellow ones I planted will flower soon.
The new cans are smaller and lighter so not much effort needed while I am getting some steps in!
I don’t really wear the brooches, they are pinned on the waistcoat, but may start making the effort to wear them. Although some are quite heavy so would be better on a jacket that a tee shirt.
I quite like some of the latest batch of sketches, I especially remember doing the sketch in a very crowded Trafalgar Square!
